Welcome to the May, 2018 real estate update for Denver and surrounding areas. As always, if you have any questions about this information or would like to have a conversation about buying or selling a home, we would love to talk with you.
May was an active month for the Metro Denver home market as we saw more new listings and more homes sold. Many buyers in the market have a goal to be in their new home before the start of the fall school season. Buyer demand continues to outpace the active listings. Seller or buyer, you should be prepared as the prime season will be a creative market frenzy which R&R Partners specializes at navigating for our clients.
Specifically in May, the average time of a home for sale was 23 days and the average time on the market for condominiums was 37 days. There were 7,145 new listings in May of 2018 (up from 6,664 in May of 2017) so if you are looking for a home, R&R Partners can definitely help you. RE/MAX Professionals sold over 2.53 billion dollars in Colorado real estate in 2017 so we are poised to guide you expertly through the tricky Denver real estate landscape.
The June market update will be available the first week of July and we are expecting the summer months to really heat up. Searching for a new home in Denver can be tough so be sure to ask the tough questions and to align yourself with agents that know the market place. R&R Partners works all of the metro area but we specialize in home sales in Denver, Centennial, Littleton and Parker.
